The Gwaelod y Garth Inn is at the centre of that community. Tucked away in the north of Cardiff at the foot of the Garth Mountain, we are definitely worth finding.

Here at The Gwaelod y Garth Inn we make every effort to make you feel at home in our pub,

restaurant and rooms.

Rob and Sam took over the reins in December 2018 and are focused on ensuring that the pub's excellent

reputation is continued.

*****PRIZE REQUEST***** Hello, local businesses and wonderful members of the community! With the Ball Race just over a week away, we’re putting a shout out to you for your support. We’re looking for generous donations of prizes to make this event even more exciting for everyone involved! Whether you're a local business or a kind-hearted individual, any contribution will go a long way in making this event a success. We've already received lots of prizes from our suppliers but we want more! Are you a hairdresser that could donate a haircut, a tradesman that could spare a few hours or a coffee shop that could give away a couple of coffees? If you're able to donate a prize or know someone who might be willing to contribute, please get in touch with us! Your support helps bring the community together and ensures that the Ball Race will be an unforgettable event for all. The Garth Hill Spectacular Ball Race will involve the release of hundreds of numbered balls down the hill towards the famous hairpin bend and across a finish line at the pub. Balls are available to buy from the pub. Our target is to sell 2000 balls and the money raised will be donated across 4 local good causes.

***MID WEEK TREAT*** Our biggest selling dessert on Sunday was our amazing homemade Sticky Toffee Pudding (now Gluten Free). The chefs have made a fresh batch for this week's Mid Week Treat. Enjoy it after a Flat Iron steak with Borderlaise sauce or Seabass with Puttenesca sauce. Don't bother cooking tonight, we've got you covered.

This weekend is all about being Welsh! So we needed a special Welsh burger! This double patty is made with Welsh Black Beef that graze The Garth, supplied by @garth.farm . It's then topped with a Welsh Rarebit and crispy leeks. Served with Koffman Fries and Bloody Mary Ketchup. Available to eat in or takeaway. #bangingburger #welshrarebit #stdavidsday🌼
