First, we brought you Ain’t This Mountain High Enough, our debut craft beer. Then came Strange Lights Over The Garth, a one-off cask ale brewed with Garth Mountain spring water. Earlier this year we added Puns.Bring.Cans to the taps, another exclusive craft beer. And now… it’s time for the next chapter. After months of selling a jar of shop-bought pickled eggs a week, we’ve finally stocked up on our own homemade batch. Lightly spiced with coriander seeds, peppercorns, and bay leaves, they’re the perfect pub snack, best enjoyed with a packet of Ready Salted crisps and a dash of Tabasco.

Last year didn’t go our way with the weather, so here’s hoping for kinder skies this time. Join us as we revive a long-forgotten Gwaelod tradition with an illuminated lantern walk from Gwaelod School to the Pub, where the Melingriffith Brass Band will play festive favourites and Father Christmas may even drop by! Use the links below for lantern-making inspiration. If you’re short on time, we will be at the school at 5pm with some pre-made lanterns (limited number). Everyone who takes part will receive free mulled wine or hot chocolate, and we’ll finish with a small prize-giving. Meet at the school at 5.15pm. Walk starts at 5.30pm.
